So I found a temporary workaround that seems to work, whenever it hangs
I can send HUP to compiz and that seems to fix the problem.
eg:
kill -HUP $(pidof compiz)
However this appears to expose yet another bug that minimized windows at
the time of compiz restart essentially disappear permanently,

desktop, with monitor as primary and on RIGHT-SIDE. The launcher is on

same as you did that it did not suffer from this problem. However I
remember some years ago trying the Live CD of a newly released version
of Ubuntu and discovered that Suspend and Hibernate worked flawlessly,

Confirmed also it stays fixed after logging out and logging into a fresh
session after making the config change. So my preferred config of the

I can get the dash to pop up (which is an issue), but I cant input
anything into the dash. It goes to the input for the lockscreen.
Either way, the command lens shouldn't be popping up.
