After some (not all by any means) suspend/resume cycles, the screen
remains black with a movable cursor. Note this is with an external
monitor attached, the cursor can be moved to either normally.

As I am able to login to the machine remotly, I attempted to restart

To be explicit. We would like to obtain a system log with graphics
debugging enabled, after reproducing the problem. We believe the
following steps should achieve that:
1) reboot, interrupt grub, and add drm.debug=6 to the kernel command
line. There is a good guide on how to do this at the URL

I can confirm on my first login after the update the keybinding thing
appeared (which I believe is intentional) but it would not go away when
the (X) at the top left was clicked.

with the same backgound having no visual separation, also with a dark
background you can no longer tell where they end.

I am unsure if it is reproducible as yet. I noticed when the *'s did
not appear on unlock attempt. I then noticed ALT-Tab was working, when
it should not be. Then I sleected my IRC client and blind selected a
private channel and sent myself a message, which I received on another
machine.

I have two machines which have a number of strange behaviours from the
HUD key.
1) before attempting to change it away from its reported Alt_L setting,
both Alt_L and Alt_R were showing HUD.
2) I was able to move it way from Alt_L to Disable it ok, then it was
correctly
The mesa version hold is now set by default in mesa. No release note
needed.
