I did a fresh install because this was a bit old and upgrading since
Utopic could cause various problems.
The problem still exists. Also, apport has created a crash report, when
unity crashed. I did
$ ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_usr_bin_compiz.1000.crash
but I'm not sure if the report uploaded
