I am using the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist with Saucy and the standard Unity
desktop. Often when I log in, after entering the password the screen
gets black and within one second I am back in LightDM. I have to enter
my password three or four times until getting a successful login.
I have now tried 5 subsequent logins with XBMC as desktop, they all
succeeded, so it is very probable that it is a problem of Unity.

I have found out what made my three- and four-finger gestures go away: I
have followed the instructions of the first comment (Phil) on
http://www.linlap.com/lenovo_thinkpad_twist, especially activated the
Wacom support to get rotation of the touchscreen working. This made the
three- and
Script to be called by the ACPI file of the previous comment. Should
rotate the screen by 90 degrees.
