I have the same problem with Ubuntu 13.10: just enabling/disabling fullscreen gets me this problem: when disabling fullscreen, the parts (the launcher to the left and the menu to the top) not used anymore by the app (be it, in my case, Firefox or SublimeText) are not refreshed. I have to
