I've just tried this, but I can't reproduce the issue... Looking at the
zeitgeist events emitted, they're fine unless the new app desktop file
is well defined (i.e. the final desktop-id matches the temporary one).

The issue here seems to be that unpinning an app pushes a zeitgeist
event with application scheme and full path to the desktop file. If a
desktop file is present in the standard XDG directories, the full path
should be omitted and only desktop id (as per fdo menu spec) should be
used - ie instead
