Just in case, this is the gnome-screenserver version:
# apt-cache policy gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver:
Installed: 3.6.1-0ubuntu13
Candidate: 3.6.1-0ubuntu13
Version table:
*** 3.6.1-0ubuntu13 0

100 /va
I am experiencing the same problem when using:
# apt-cache policy unity
unity:
Installed: 7.2.0+14.04.20140423-0ubuntu1.2
Candidate: 7.2.0+14.04.20140423-0ubuntu1.2
Version table:
*** 7.2.0+14.04.20140423-0ubuntu1.2 0

I upgraded to 7.2.0+14.04.20140416-0ubuntu1 and it seems that it's
working fine.
