Title:
Date and time do not show up on indicator
This has been annoying me since I reinstalled my laptop following a disk
failure recently. I finally ran across the advice to run dconf reset
-f /com/canonical/indicator/datetime/. Voila! The clock reappeared.
Then I changed the settings to add the day of week. The clock
disappeared. Same
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I'm affected by this. System settings Time Date Clock options are
available and seem to function normally. I've tried the following
solutions; none have restored my clock to the unity panel.
1)
sudo apt-get install --reinstall indicator-datetime;
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -f noninteractive
