There are a number of discrepancies between DX4WIN and the ARRL. This
makes it harder to go down the list and verify that the ARRL credited you
with everything that DX4WIN says you submitted. Even within the ARRL,

Hi,
If I don't have my rotator (DCU-1) connected, each time I open a new log
file the rotor times out. This isn't a big deal, I could disable the
rotator, but it doesn't seem like it should be talking to/open the rotator
port each time I open a log file, maybe is should just once at start-up?
Does anyone have a recommendation on an LPT/com port adapter to use for
true CW keying with DX4WIN? I've found several programs which use audio
injected CW, but that prevents using the CW mode on my IC-756Pro and the
benefits of the CW filters. I am also using a RigBlaster Plus.

Just make your own universal CW - LPT keying interface!! No need
for RigBlasters and other fancy stuff, hi!
Easy and cheap, all you need is:
1x DB25 connector male (for LPT port) and a nice plastic or
metal shell to cover it
1x jack connector (for TRX)
1x resistor 1k ohm, 0.25W is enough
1x
My thanks to all for their suggestions on CW interfacing using the LPT
port! Looks pretty easy.

OK, this is Guy's ON4AOI way of doing it:

He makes a galvanic separation between PC and TRX by means of an
optocoupler.
This is a smart idea that might help to cure some problems with
RFI and noise.
The schematics are also easier to understand than my
