It has been one week now and I am still waiting for support on how to fix
this packet cluster problem. I cannot login in to any packet cluster with
this new version, 6.03 and it is quite frustrating when I have to wait this
long for feedback on how to fix it.

Lou, AC0X, made some suggestions on May 29th, John. What were the
results of the things he suggested?

The suggestions Lou made were already initiated Dave. I further contacted
Lou and made him aware of this.

I did exactly as you said Jim. I downloaded a demo copy of the program into
a seperate directory and did not merge my preferences or install my key. I
then changed the file / perferences / packet 1 settings to Regular and
TCP/IP and still I got that error
For future reference, please let us all know how the problem was solved.

Thanks to all who
The problem with the packet cluster I was having was attributed to firewall
software. What was strange was the firewall allowed me to run the packet
cluster on a previous version of dx4win and also on outside programs like
dxtelnet, but it would not allow me to access the packet cluster nodes on
Hello all,
Just to make it absolutely clear...
I do not, have not and do not intend to do any support thru reflector requests.
As it has always been in the past, if you want or need support, send an
email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The first time I had anything sent directly to the 'support'

Hi Guys,
We are talking about PSK31 and here is what I noticed:
I'm running a rig IC-745 without RS232 connection ( an old rig with an old
operator hihi ) so... band and mode is changed as necessary manually.
With packet connected and spots displaying in DXspots window the must

Not surprising if you provide remote access permission
by individual software package. DX4WIN 6.03 isn't the
same executable that 6.02 was, so you need to give
permission again.

Hello all,
Most of what I said still previously is still accurate.
John sent his Emails to Paul, not me.
Paul sent me an Email about Johns problem, which I saw, but put it with
some one else (wrong John.)
Enough fault to go around for all.

Not trying to put the blame on anyone there Steve. Just glad to get this
excellent program working to its full potential. Just frustration on my end.
Anyway the problem was something very simple and right in front of the
monitor.
