I just upgraded from Win98se to Win XPpro. I have lost the ability to use
DX4win PSK31 AND an external speaker at the same time.
The card is the Sound Blaster PCI 128 and it has 4 jacks available. Line in,
Line out, Mic in, and Speaker out. This worked perfect on Win98se.

Just a thought - I personally have gone away from serial ports. I am
using
USB interfaces for rig control etc. produced by MicroHam, I am using these
ti interface with IC706mk11g/TS570 and TS950SDX all work FB, and if I need
more USB connections I can just buy a splitter.

Its the same on any usb comm ports in xp
But you can change the com ports number in win xp and win 2000 easy under
control panel system hardware com ports settings advanced port nuber
And a restart and the com number is changed

I had the same problem, lots of devices wanted serial ports and only one on
my main computer! I brought a VSCOM 4 x serial port adaptor that plugs into
a spare USB port. Immediately the computer (under XP) installed it and I now
have 5 serial ports. The additional 4 serial ports are used
