This morning I went to add my NEQP results and wanted to specify a new Group
Number and Name. To my surprise, all 70 Group Names were gone. Group numbers
are still associated with my QSO's but no Group names. They do exist in an
earlier backed up version of the database so if I must, I can re-ke
export your current log to dx4win8 format.
find a .dxl file that has the group names.
copy that file to a new name and open that new file.
using mult qso ops, delete all qsos.
import your .dxq file in dx4win8 format.

p.s. sri about above, easier to type without using shift key.
On Mon,
My question is, "what happened?"

I think I have both UPDATE and RESTORE (go back to previous data
files) working 100% for everything but DX4WUPD.EXE (the updater
itself) and logs. I should be able to finish those tomorrow (code
consolidation then testing) then get back to documentation. I hope to
release something Wednesday.

By accident I found confirmed QSO in LoTW downloaded to the wrong group number
in DX4WIN. How can I set a filter to see all LoTW confirmed QSOs prior to a
specific date, please? I know I have to enter the group number in the filter
but I don't know how to set the date range.
73 and thanks.

In preferences/QSO set the QSO date to range.
Then when you F8, enter date, LOTW Cnfm=Y
DX4WIN will open a window for the end date.
