Hi All: I just discovered that the new DX4WIN seems to handle satellite
QSOs differently. Instead of placing "SAT": in the band field, it has
replaced that with what appears to be the downlink band from the
"Satellite" field. So, for example, my QSO with a station on AO-40
using 435mhz uplink an
How about a spot that is BOTH a new band and a new mode? E.g. AH3D on
15m RTTY was BOTH new band (never worked KH3 on 15M using ANY mode) AND
a new mode (never worked KH3 using RTTY on ANY band). Does that have
it's own alert, or does it alert as a new mode or a new band only?

Does anyone know if 6.0 is the latest for the FT1000D? Tnx. 73 de Brian

Hi All: I just worked the International Space Station, Valery, RS0ISS.
DX4WIN thinks it is UA9. Obviously it doesn't count as UA9 on 2 meters.
How do I log it?
Does DX4WIN have a country for manned spacecraft? Perhaps it should be "AM"
Aeronautical mobile. Any thoughts?
I am thrilled to have
address that you used?

Some of the files require a password to open, which ON4AOI will give you on
request. However, I sent him an email about a week ago asking for the
current password and have as yet received no response. Please let me know
if you have better luck. 73, Brian W3BW

Hi all:
I seem to have a problem that has just cropped up. I have it only on this
PC. Other PC installations are fine, and this one worked until a few days
ago.
When I try to see the county list, by going to that field and hitting "F-1",
the list comes up blank. Morever, DX4WIN will not let me
Hi All: DX4WIN allows the use of "fuzzy logic" as well as wildcards (*) and
"negation" (!)when running a search of the log for past QSOs. Is it
possible to do the same when setting up a Callsign Alert under
FILE|PREFERENCES|PACKET1 ? If it is not, wouldn't this be desireable? One

How about 2 highlights "painted" in the country window? The current one
for the band/mode in the QSO window, and a red-outlined highlight to
reflect the band/mode of the spot? That would meet both needs.

More I think with adoption of my last suggestion, i.e. an override
for "alert if not confirmed", level 2 would become superfluous.
However, you need a level 2 to cover something better than "new band" or
"new mode". That would be "New Band AND New Mode". This is not the
same as "new band/mo
I applaud this change. I think it will be a great improvememnt. I have
two suggested enhancements:
1. There should be an overriding option to "Alert if not confirmed".
If that is not selected, then the alerts described below will operate as
you have described them. If that is selected, alerts
