Up-Date:
I'm using TELNET system for spotting so the Baud Rate is not really a

I have some questions.
1. I am a new user of DX4WIN and would like to be able to find a simple
slot to id where I got the contact. i.e. a DX net, etc
2. I want to sort my log by Call, or Country, but can not seem to get it
easily. I would like to print out a list of all of my contacts by
Two questions
1. I am trying to connect my PC with DX4WIN to my FT1000D and can not get
the radio connection to work. I keep getting timeouts. Perhaps the radio
has an older eeprom. How do I check out the eeprom version. And what is
the trick for connection?
Second question. I also
Can not get into the local packet repeaters comfortably so got
DXTELNET. Followed directions for setting up which require running
DXTELNET, DXT4WIN and DX4WIN. I set up DXTELNET IAW the included help
file below, nothing to do for DXT4WIN and in DX4WIN followed directions
which had me.
I found out my own problem.
FYI to others:
If the contest mode is turned on the problem occurs. When I turn the contest
mode off all is back to normal.
Thanks guys. 73, STU

You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but:

So, back to square one.
Any ideas would still be appreciated.
Thanks again, 73, STU

Can anybody walk me through the process of being able to use your existing
log (with old call sign) and being able to continue with a new vanity call
without having to start all over again (country totals, modes, bands, etc.).
