After DX4WIN had crashed upon launch (for still unknown reason), I went about re-entering my various parameters ( address, station data, etc.). In the DXCC section, I thought I had turned on SSB (checked the box) as one of the valid modes. As it turns out, I had NOT included SSB as one of the valid modes for DXCC awards. That was the cause of my problem. Thanks to those who responded!! 73. . . I've got the USB setup and working on port 20 and I can read the freq into DX4WIN V-8. When I open the PSK window and do an Alt-S to set TX keying I get an exception when I try to set keying to Port 20. The 7300 work wonderfully using WSJT-x off of port 20 no problems. Both control and keying works fine. Why not with DX4WIN. Hi Larry, While there is a "DATA" mode that can be logged in DX4WIN, aren't you really operating PSK, WSJT or some other "data" mode in these cases? Which mode should DX4WIN pick? Contact me off-line. Assuming that IC-7851 and IC-7610 have the same mode encodings, I can send you a modified .RIG file that will report "DATA" mode. - Jim -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu> <http://alum.mit.edu>> ;, http://www.ad1c.us <http://www.ad1c.us> ------------------------------ Message: 5 Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2018 06:55:15 -0700 From: Jim Reisert AD1C <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu> <http://alum.mit.edu>> ; To: Larry Burke <w...@sbcglobal.net> <http://sbcglobal.net>> ; Cc: DX4WIN Reflector <dx4win@mailman.qth.net> <http://mailman.qth.net>> ; Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Data Mode Message-ID: <CAK-n8j6k=vo6pvq+vhkeeuaxm-_ttfbmca99s39xqy--m-j...@mail.gmail.com> <http://mail.gmail.com>> ; Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" On Thu, Jan 18, 2018 at 6:50 AM, Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: > On Thu, Jan 4, 2018 at 11:07 AM, Larry Burke K5RK wrote: > >> I'm using DX4WIN with an Icom IC-7851. Larry, looking at the command set, I do not think this can be done easily. The DATA mode(s) are in a different byte of the command response than the main modes (CW, SSB etc.). Maybe Guy ON4AOI will have an idea. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu> <http://alum.mit.edu>> ;, http://www.ad1c.us <http://www.ad1c.us> ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net <http://mailman.qth.net> http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win <http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win> End of DX4WIN Digest, Vol 165, Issue 13 *************************************** ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
