Here's an additional piece of information that may shed some light. If, after the spurious colon appears, I re-type the FIRST two digits of the four-digit 24-hour time entry, it appears and saves correctly. That is, a time like 23:08 has to be entered as 230823. This means I CAN enter QSO's offline
