Hi, Some of messages in microHAM forum indicate loss of com between router and DX4WIN/TRX. As Joe Subich W4TV, already said several times in microHAM forum, all hibernate, sleep and USB energy savings should be disabled in Windows to avoid this.
But, there is another reason: the RF ! When I switch ON my Linear Amplifier and/or turn the beam towards my shack, there it comes: not only the router USB, but also the FTDI serial converters driving the SteppIR controller and the ERC antenna rotator via DX4WIN stop working. The ferrite RF suppressors on the related cables do not help. So, when you see interfaces stop working, check if the QRO was not the reason, HI! BTW: Windows automatic update has updated my FTDI USB/RS232 drivers with version 2.8.24.0, dated 10.4.2012.
