Guys, thanks for all the input on the serial port keying up under XP Pro. The RTS/DTR lines flip state as the machine boots up and this is what causes it to key the rig. Next time I talk to my Microsoft rep I will bring it up to him and see what kind of reply I get. Thanks for all the input, at
