To piggy-back off of Jim's great comments, I believe the NORFED Silver and
Gold-backed Liberty Dollars offer a great physical alternative to fiat
currency.
My choice is to use the Digital Gold Currencies in the cyber-arena and
Liberty Dollars in day-to-day cash exchanges when at all possible.
Personally, I would prefer gold and silver coin. Small, portable, and
they are nobody's liability. DGC's are still someone's liability. They
owe you the gold should you decide to redeem. As our legal profession
says, possession is 9/10th's of the law.
