When all is said and done, I don't really care so much that a debit card is issued "by" GoldMoney. I mean, look at Omnipay. In some ways they are closely affiliated with E-Gold Ltd., but in reality they are a completely separate company. What I really care about is that the service is sufficiently capitalized so that it has high liquidity and I am virtually guaranteed access to US dollars by debit card or check. A small cambio is more likely to have a trade imbalance and run out of dollars. I recently used Omnipay to cut a check to a credit card company, and it was a wonderful experience. You get the confirmation email with a tracking link, and you are virtually guaranteed that they can fulfill your request at any time. Integrity, high liquidity, quick response, and good confirmation. These are the only things that really matter in an exchange provider of any kind, including those who fund debit cards. If GoldMoney had its own version of Omnipay as a separate company, that would probably be ideal. From his recent activities and streamlining, I'd say Claude Cormier at Ormetal is angling for that position. :-) If you want evidence, just take a look at this: http://www.ormetal.com/en/goldmoney.html.
