I wouldn't want to be associated with OSGold either. This action is not simply about competition although OSGold are obviously riding e-gold's coattails to success, otherwise GS&R would have substituted "other gold currency systems including without limitation, OSGold." Any reasonable person need simply read the earliest references to OSGold in this mailing list to see the *probability* that OSGold is simply a means to delay the collapse of certain (criminal) Ponzi schemes by giving the appearance of paying out longer. That the anonymous owners of OSGold are one and the same as the operators of the Ponzi schemes is entirely likely, and that they are also the one's early on defending the Ponzi's and OSGold most vehemently on this list. That certain exchange providers are lending e-gold's credibility to OSGold by the combination of an approved link from e-Gold and the exchange providers' subsequent recommendations of OSGold is a situation that e-gold, and GS&R as their operator is well justified in seeking immediately to stop. That 'guilty by association' is a real threat to be avoided is clear, following the stupid coverage of the (unjustified) FBI raid (without charges being laid) on Gold Age being interpreted to implicate e-Gold themselves in unethical conduct. Some of the same complainers against e-Gold's non-repudiation policy (seemingly supporting scammers) seem to be the same one's complaining that e-Gold is firmly distancing themselves from a company with which e-Gold and GS&R do not in any way wish to be associated. I am an e-Gold user, and I will not trade in OSGold. However, not being listed on e-gold's Market Maker or exchange provider) list is not a restraint of trade. I guess that most of us have not looked at that page in ages, and make our choices based on a variety of sources, most of all this discussion list. I also do not mean to impute anything against any of those who have linked to OSGold. I have met and done business with Graham Kelly (of GoldNow.st), and I believe him to be an honest and trustworthy person, as I am sure most of the others are also.
