I noticed that first thing this morning. Believe me, Jim, I have written both Lew and Gary North about it. Lew said thanks. Gary North is just too busy and important to respond. I infer that either he thinks that privately issued gold currencies are not ready for prime time, or he really thinks only the government should issue gold-backed currency. I really think he's a statist at heart when it comes to money. > Fortunately, I have been composing a piece based on Murray > Rothbard's seminal masterwork "What Has Government Done > to Our Money?" > http://www.mises.org/money.asp > > You'd think someone would have pointed these things out > to Lew's audience by now. Hmm, I'm not sure how to point it out to Lew's audience. But if you can get that article published at the Mises site then more power to ya. As you know, Lew Rockwell is the founder and president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. I once managed to slip a passing reference to e-gold and GoldMoney into an article at Rob Moody's site Strike-The-Root (http://www.strike-the-root.com/columns/Chkoreff/chkoreff1.html). (The article was originally published at FreedomHound.) Rob Moody used to write for Lew's site. However, I have not yet seen ANY mention of IG at Lew Rockwell's site, even critical or passing. Gary North's attitude is very arrogant. Why can't he just write a piece slamming IG, saying it's shaky or fraudulent? Or write a piece saying he really doesn't believe in privately issued currency, and that the government should do it? Instead, he just imperiously ignores the whole subject. Gary North prefers to whine and pine. -- Patrick --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
