Hi Dimitri,

As recent discussion on this list reveals, maybe ACH transfer should be
listed separately from Wire Transfer as it has a different infrastructure
and some will be capable and others not.

As for reducing the number of options, is "Letters of Credit" really
necessary? Has anyone ever used them? Also Barter. Is there a market for
finding "businesses" that accept barter?

Certainly even large businesses occasionally use barter, but these are
arrangements of convenience, and are not likely to be promoted through a
search engine. Imagine, XYC Corporation who bartered with ABC MegaCorp for X
million dollars worth of natural resources. They will not want to advertise
in a search engine so people can waste their sales people's time asking if
they can swap the produce of their vegetable garden for their monthly
electricity bill! :) That's why currencies were invented, to reduce the cost
of making transactions. E-gold is a perfect example of a low transaction
cost currency.

Also you may like to eliminate the "other" category. If there are other
worthwhile payment mechanisms to list (maybe "Gold-backed Currencies other
than e-gold", and "other Internet currencies and awarded points") then list
them explicitly. I think "Other" is too ethereal to be useful in a business
directory.

Did you know that e-gold Ltd. stores more gold on behalf of customers
than many countries? See http://www.gold.org/Gra/Gra1.htm and the
e-gold Examiner at http://www.e-gold.com/examiner.html for details.
