Dear Eric,

Time and space are mine to waste. The model of bandwidth
as a scarce world resource is silly. There is presently a
huge overcapacity in bandwidth which is being severely
under-utilized.

Curious idea, isn't it, to discuss things on a discussion
list. One might think that's why they exist.

I'm not sure that your original message "this is a scam"
provided adequate benefit. Thus, my replies.

> Ironic, eh?

Not especially.

If you are going to insist on telling these lists all about
a particular message being a scam, you might as well go
further and recommend things to do about it. Such as:
delete messages like that one when you see them; learn
more about 419 scams from Nigeria by visiting some web
sites; if you experience a loss, contact thus and such
federal do-nothing agency; there ain't no such thing as a
free lunch, and nobody is going to give you a golden key
for free; wake up and smell the bacon frying, or maybe
it's your chestnuts.

Then again, I tend to be a tiny bit more verbose than
some. (See, that's irony posing as understatement.)

Regards,

Jim
