Hi,
The chattyness doesn't really concern me, but the problem is that it still
drops the link a few times every hour during higher load periods:
Dec 15 19:55:46 88 kernel: i40e :03:00.1: TX driver issue detected, PF
reset issued
Dec 15 19:55:51 88 kernel: i40e :03:00.1: TX driver issue
OK, this appears to be caused by a transmit hang that also has been fixed
recently and will be in the next release.
Sorry I missed that, but they make us use Outlook at work and your emails come
on a single line.

I'm not sure why you installed an old driver (from 6/13) with a newer kernel
(looks like 9/14). Can you either try the in-kernel driver or update to the
latest igb-5.2.15 first?
Thanks.

Filtering below the VF driver isn't possible since with SRIOV we are literally
giving the queue to the VF driver. So there isn't anything between the VF
driver and the hardware (this included the PF driver). So there isn't anything
to filter this traffic.
I'm only the owner of the ixgbe and
Perhaps a network diagram would help. It sounds like you're the router, with
multiple flows coming in and one going out. If this is the case, the rx/tx
would be paired and all on one queue.
Can you please clarify?

Correct me if I wrong, Don
but traffic from VF can be filtered in the NIC on transmit path based on src
MAC and VLAN tag, aka MAC and VLAN anti-spoofing, so I wonder if the same
filtering is possible based on dst MAC?
Thanks

Hey Alex,
I see your point the anti-spoofing is doing filtering. :) However this sort
of filter was built around anti-spoofing concept. So this was never envisioned
to extend to DST MAC's.
I imagine the approach of using VLAN's and not include the DST MAC's you want
to isolate won't
It's a citrix bug
I have solved the problem by applying hotfix XS62ESP1004
