That is correct: you need to run an extra application to have everything
configured and enabled properly.
Normally, Silicom should be able to provide you with the necessary software
packages to make this happen.
I suggest you contact them for support since you've purchased the card from
them.

Well, normally you'll need a login to Intel's portal to gain access to any
relevant documentation and SW packages.
Can you please indicate to me exactly what is this 100G NIC and how did you
obtain it?
