Hi,
Does 3.6.0 compile with standard foss toolchain without any modifications or
some tweaking is necessary ? I have upto foss-2018b toolchain and gimkl-2017a.
Thanks,
Umit

Hi All,
I am trying to build binutils-2.28 which is a dependency for gcc 7.1
easyconfig. If I run “eb binutils-2.28.eb –r” the build process fails and
generates the following errors. I wonder if this has something to do with
hardware platform or CC flags. Is this script targeting all

of EasyBuild-related activity at SC'17, if that would be helpful.

Good question. I don’t think so!
There will be one Spack training
http://sc17.supercomputing.org/presentation/?id=tut151=sess233
but no easybuild this year. EB team should target a day long tutorial/workshop
session for SC18!

Hi All,
I have a related question regarding uninstallation process. My understanding
is that EasyBuild at this point does not have an automated way of removing the
previously installed software modules. What is the current best practice for
removing software modules from easy build
Maybe look for the install location of the easybuild (eb –show-config) where
“software and modules” are stored and see if you can find the .lua file for the
easybuild itself.
If it’s there and you properly installed EB It should load EB !

Open up binutils .eb file and look for dependencies and make sure you have
compiled “ready modules” for such dependencies (i.e. GCCcore-5.4)
