Hello,
I am currently seeking a full time position in the science field. I have interest in working in labs, wildlife field work, as well as agriculture and horticulture. I have a Bachelor's of Science in biology with an evolution, ecology and organismal concentration. I have experience with wildlife management and conservation, some plant ID skills and knowledge of CA plant communities, aquatic/terrestrial insect ID skills, data collection, entry, and analysis, Microsoft Office skills, as well as Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information systems (GIS) experience and knowledge. Aside from personal experience, I gained some agriculture/horticulture experience volunteering at MEarth in Carmel Valley, CA. My lab experience includes data collection, entry and analysis, safety knowledge, media preparation, solution preparation, streaking techniques, sterilization techniques, PCR, DNA extraction, transformation, and familiarity with lab machinery. I work well independently and well as with a team. I am semi-flexible when it comes to work hours and days. I'd be willing to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts. I am a quick learner, follow instructions well, and easy to get along with. I live in Monterey, so I'd be willing to relocate but would be needing a little time to make the move. If in South bay I could possibly start as soon as possible. I can provide references upon request. Hope to hear from you soon. Have a great day.
