I'm looking for a field assistant to help me with my field season in Panama. I'm working on the microbial communities in the hindguts of green iguanas, and need assistance with the following: nest enclosure setup, lizard surveying via motorboat/canoe/foot, lizard noosing, and data recording. You must be okay with sun, heat, humidity, and insects. We will be out every day and a few hours a night several times a week.
I need someone from April 10th until May 28th (give or take a day). The research station is on Barro Colorado Island, Panama, part of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. I'll pay for transportation and the room/board at the research station. Let me know if you are available ASAP. If interested, please let me know of any field/herp/science background you have. I'm happy to send you more about my project overall. Beck Beck A. Wehrle, Graduate Student Department of Biology California State University, Northridge Email: beck.wehrle....@my.csun.edu
