Duties: Teach an average of 12 hours per semester in upper and lower division biology courses (wildlife ecology, natural resources policy and administration and other wildlife-related courses as well as freshman biology courses) and associated laboratories; teach upper-level electives in the applicant’s area of expertise as well as other core biology courses; supervise undergraduate research projects; serve on committees; perform scholarly activity; engage in recruitment, retention, advise students and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Biology or related field required by time of employment; have expertise in wildlife biology; demonstrate an ability to teach undergraduate students; excellent communication skills; ability to work well with people; have a strong desire to interact with students both in the classroom and undergraduate research projects. The candidate will lead and grow the biology department’s new degree in marine biology and develop a research program involving undergraduate students.
