Various sources indicate some species of oak may be allelopathic toward understory and shrub layer vegetation.

Is anyone aware of work demonstrating that Willow Oak, Quercus phellos, is allelopathic--especially on Flowering Dogwood, Cornus florida?

Thanks in advance,

BILL
