The 4th annual early-career researchers meeting of the BES Tropical Ecology
Group will be in Nottingham, UK, from 7-9th April 2010. The overall theme is
‘Dealing with Diversity: Description and analysis of hyper-diverse
ecosystems’, though we will welcome talks or posters on any topic within
tropical ecology.

The meeting will comprise two days of talks followed by an optional one-day
workshop introducing techniques for diversity analysis at both local and
regional scales. Our plenary speakers will be Prof. Anne Chao (Taiwan) and
Dr. Owen Lewis (Oxford). Anne Chao and Richard Field (Nottingham) will each
run a workshop session. There will also be a special seminar by Dr Francis
Gilbert (Nottingham) on the use of diversity studies to inform policy and
conservation.
