Greetings,
After speaking with a very knowledgeable sales rep from Fotodyne in October, I
was all set to order the dog phylogeny/diversity kit from them for my Evolution
course this spring. I just found out that the company has rather abruptly
decided to drop all of its educational kits, and focus mainly on equipment
sales.

Is there anyone who might have one of these Dog kits that you are not planning
to use? If I can't locate a dog kit, I will go back to the BioRad fish
phylogeny kit, but I thought the dog kit would be more interesting for the
students since many of them have dogs, but few are involved with fish. The
other reason for making fish my second choice is that I have used the BioRad
kit twice without success. We get protein bands and we successfully find
actin, but my students have yet to construct a reasonable phylogenetic tree.
From what I have read, the dog lab sounds more reliable in terms of producing
usable results.

I would need the complete kit including the perishable materials such as
enzymes, SNPS etc, since the company no longer has any kits or supplies.

Thank you, and Happy New Year,
Liane
