Eastern Michigan University's Fish Lake Biological Program is offering a four-day, two-credit course, called Amphibians and Reptiles for Teachers. It will cover the reptiles and amphibians of Michigan, and include lectures, labs, and considerable time in the field. Participants will learn about the frogs, salamanders, snakes, lizards and turtles in the state — including some of their unusual , even bizarre characteristics — and how to incorporate them into their classrooms. Inexpensive, on-site lodging is available. For information, see http://www.ce.emich.edu/keec/programs.html or contact the instructor, Leslie Mertz, at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
