The Lankau research group in the Plant Pathology department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is searching for a research technician/lab manager to assist with an NSF funded project investigating tree-soil- microbial interactions. Principle duties will include field, greenhouse, and laboratory components. The technician will need to travel to field sites within Wisconsin and neighboring states, occasionally on over-night trips, and be able to work and travel independently. Prior experience with field research in natural settings and with laboratory techniques (DNA extraction, PCR amplification, gel electrophoresis) preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
