Indiana State University invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Biology to begin in fall 2015. The department offers B.S., B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in biology, broadly defined. The number of undergraduates in the department is growing, having quadrupled in the last 4 years. Faculty members have active research programs in all areas of biology, and the department houses two research centers: The Center for Genomic Advocacy, and the Center for Bat Research, Outreach, and Conservation. Hence, the Department of Biology is an active, growing department that presents a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated leader to make a difference.
Advancing ongoing educational programs is a high priority.
