Dear ECOLOG Subscribers,
I was wondering if anyone on this list has experience using the partial Solow equation? The partial Solow equation calculates the probability that a taxon is still extant, based on the frequency of records collected between the first and most recent observations of a species. It takes into account collection effort in this calculation. I am having trouble understanding/calculating some of the variables in this equation, particularly ei. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
