Hello,

Apologies for cross-posting.

We are on the point to finish a statistics book on mixed modelling applied on ecological data. We would like to use a book cover that contains photographs of some of the species that we use in the book.

The problem is that such pictures need to be of high quality (at least 300 dpi) and we need exclusive
worldwide copyright (which rules out the work of most professionals).

I was wondering if anyone on this mailing list has pictures/photographs of the species listed below, and is willing to donate one or two photos (and transfer copyright to the publisher). In return, we will give you a free copy of the book (provided we use the picture) and mention the source/photographer.

On top of the list of preferred photos are:
Barn owls (European)
Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus)
Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus)

Other pictures we look for are from:
Limosa (Limosa haemastica)
Badgers (Meles meles)
Cetaceans (any of Delphinus delphis, Lagenorhynchus acutus, Phocoena phocoena, Stenella coeruleoalba,
Stenella frontalis, Tursiops truncatus)

Kind regards,

Alain Zuur
