A postdoctoral associate in biogeochemistry is sought to work on an NSF-funded project exploring the effects of nitrogen enrichment on grassland soil organic matter dynamics across a network of fertilization experiments in the Central Great Plains and the Pacific Northwest, part of the Nutrient Network. The appointment is to work with Dr. Sarah Hobbie in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior at the University of Minnesota. The position is for one year with potential for renewal, to begin between August 15-September 15, 2016. The postdoc will have the opportunity to collaborate with other postdocs and PIs characterizing microbial communities and integrating empirical results into process models; interact with Nutrient Network researchers; and interact with Cedar Creek LTER researchers.
