A group of us have been engaged in discussions for a replacement to the DDIG program that was recently cut by NSF. We need your input rapidly on one CRITICAL aspect of this -- what to call the nascent thing. I favour the word consortium, defined as *“A consortium is an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations or governments (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal.”*
You can help us by contributing your reactions to different potential names and ideas for better ones in this shared document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r6hNfoo8gUdhLRIom9SQ-YH_zbWzUw4AYR4O3vpbFUU/edit?usp=sharing *Instructions* 1. Please edit the document directly rather than using "suggesting mode" or comments -- these make it too hard to read. 2. Please forward this email to potentially interested colleagues who may not be on this email list. If you can do this today, I would greatly appreciate it!
