The Rangeland Resources Research Unit, Cheyenne, WY seeks a Post Doctoral Research Associate for a two year appointment. A recent Ph.D. (within the last four years) is required.

The incumbent will quantify how climate change, especially variability of precipitation and increasing temperatures, affect livestock production in the Northern Great Plains. The incumbent will use existing long-term climatic and livestock production sets to (1) determine relationships between livestock gains and climatic variability across multiple temporal scales, and (2) incorporate synthetic relationship into decision support systems for livestock production. Knowledge of livestock production, rangeland ecology and contemporary quantitative statistics is required. Experience with modeling, large data sets, and decision support systems is desirable. A Ph.D. in Rangeland Management, Animal Science, Ecology, Biology or a related field of study is required and citizenship restrictions apply.
