Drake University invites applications for a fulltime, 80%, Visiting Instructor 
or Assistant Professor in Biology beginning August 2017 and ending May 2018.  
The department seeks an excellent teacher with expertise in botany and 
biostatistics as well as experience in greenhouse management.  Teaching 
assignments include First-Year seminar, introductory botany and lab, and 
biological research methods and statistics.  A Ph.D. in botany is preferred, an 
ABD is acceptable. Applicants must have a strong commitment to active learning 
pedagogies and a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. The successful 
candidate will also oversee the day to day care of Drake’s new state-of-the-art 
greenhouse, thus applicants should also have an interest and understanding of 
greenhouse management.
