Dear Colleagues: Who coined the phrase Dyar's Rule/Law? Background follows.
In *The number of molts of lepidopterous larvae*, Dyar (1890) proposed a simple relationship, in mathematics known as a geometric progression, between the linear dimensions of hardened, or sclerotized, structures in moth and butterfly larvae as they grow by molting during their discontinuous development. This constant rate of size increase model, which has become known as Dyar’s Rule or Dyar’s Law. But who coined the phrase Dyar's Rule/Law? Note, I have already communicated with two experts on Dyar.
