Hi All,

I am planning on conducting a study where I exclude different seed dispersal
vectors in order to
identify herbaceous plant community assembly patterns. I am interested in
excluding medium-small
mammals, birds and wind -separately. I am having a bit of trouble figuring out
how to exclude one of
these vectors without 1) excluding the others (e.g. if I put up a fence to
block mammals how do I still
allow birds to enter the plot-aside from just leaving the top open); and 2)
altering environmental
conditions for the plant communities (e.g. shading them with the barriers).
Does anyone have
experience excluding ANY or all of these agents and can enlighten me? I
appreciate any suggestions.

Regards,
Dorothy
