Dear Ecolog-L, please help to post or send around this announcement: The Soil Microbial Ecology Group at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a highly motivated M.S. or Ph.D. student to further our understanding of the arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis to the phosphorus nutrition of maize and soybean grown at high yield. To complement our current field research, the student will develop greenhouse based trials to address specific hypotheses related to plant P transporter activity under various abiotic stressors of relevance to high yielding agricultural systems in the face of climate change. Applicants require a BS degree or MS degree in biology, biochemistry, soil science, agronomy or related discipline. Preference will be given to students with a strong biochemistry/molecular biology background.
