Chicago Botanic Garden in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management is looking for an ecologist with invasive plant monitoring skills and experience with wildlife to intern at the BLM Lower Sonoran Field Office, in Phoenix, Arizona. Internship begins in late June and lasts for 5 months. Compensation is $750 each two weeks. We are looking for a recent graduate with invasive plant identification skills to conduct noxious weed inventories. Field work experience and the ability to use a GPS unit is necessary. Candidate must be willing to camp for several nights at a time. Additionally, assistance developing the desert tortoise conservation plan would be necessary.
