A research associate is needed to assist with the management and the
research conducted in the wetland and stream biogeochemistry lab at Ohio
State University.

Job Description: The research associate will be principally involve in an
NSF funded project looking at the effect of plant diversity on carbon cycle
in freshwater wetlands. Duties will include assisting with field sampling
and laboratory analysis. In addition, duties will also include assisting
with a range of other projects, all related to carbon and nitrogen cycling
in aquatic ecosystems. Finally, the research assistant will help supervise a
number of analyses routinely conducted in the lab.

Qualification: We are seeking to hire someone with a Masters degree in
natural resources, environmental science, ecology, or related field. The
position will be excellent for a new graduate who seek to obtain additional
research experience. Experience in laboratory analyses related to
biogeochemistry is preferable.

Salary: Starting pay is $27,000 per year + benefit. This is a temporary
position (one year) with the expectation to transfer into a permanent position.
