Interconnect to VANs over the Internet

Can someone please tell me how or who I contact from Sterling, Harbinger, and GEIS to setup an interconnect from an ISP to their VANs to funnel EDI interchanges through to trading partners using the VANs? Do I need to implement the TA1 segments as well when I do an interconnect? Thanks. DF _

EDI and XML standards

I am a little confused about the XML EDI. Does there exist a standard for the XML DTD to represent the EDI document? If so where can I get this standard? If not, how far away is this being accomplished or is even? Thanks. DF. _
