I want to use the file interfaces provided by StdLib package in
my option ROM driver. However, if I include the StdLib package and compile
the image, the image wont load at all in the UEFI shell. As I see it, the
Driver's Supported function itself is not called.
I'm using UDK201
I'm using the EFI_SYSTEM_TABLE to get the firmware vendor name:
gST->FirmwareVendor.
1) Can I use the string got from this(and convert it to ASCII form) as a
way to determine whether to execute the driver or not for a specific
vendor?
2) Is this a standard way?

Is there any protocol or any other method which I can use in my
driver to get the details of the vendor. I'm looking out for this
information because I want to ensure the driver executes only on servers of
a specific vendor.

In the UEFI boot manager, I can see the following devices as bootable
devices:
Select UEFI Boot Option
* Unknown in Slot 4: ubuntu*
* Integrated RAID Controller 1: HDD-ubuntu1204*
* Embedded SATA Port Optical Drive E: TSSTcorp DVD+/-RW SN-208BB*
* Integrated NIC 1 Port 1 Partition
