Public bug reported: I realise it's a bit late to ask for an archive removal for 12.10, however thin-client-manager hasn't worked for the past 2-3 releases and we've recently got reports of users still trying to install it mostly by mistakes.
Its replacement nowadays is epoptes that Edubuntu ships since 12.04 and before that was iTalc that we shipped starting with 8.04. thin-client-manager is as such really outdated, doesn't work at all and as far as I know doesn't even install properly. The package is Ubuntu-specific so there's no risk we'll get it back from Debian. Its authors are Pete Savage and Oliver Grawert. Pete hasn't been seen in quite a while and Oliver's opinion on the matter is: 20:49 < ogra_> stgraber, bin it :) ** Affects: thin-client-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Edubuntu Bugsquad, which is subscribed to thin-client-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1059836 Title: Please remove thin-client-manager from the archive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thin-client-manager/+bug/1059836/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs Post to : edubuntu-bugs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
